Day 5.

Dear dreams.

While there are many of you in my head, I think you are not as complicated as most people perceive you to be. Some of you have finally, painstakingly become a reality while others are still floating about only in my mind.

People tell me to dream big. Have huge, outta this world dreams. But my real dreams are somewhat disappointing, maybe. ;p

I dream of becoming a doctor. To save lives because life is altogether too short and in saving others' lives, I feel like I am doing something meaningful with my own.

I dream of FINALLY visiting my birthplace in Nottingham, cause I'd like to see for myself if it really is as pretty as in the pictures.

I dream of visiting the Galapagos Islands (near South America) to pet a giant tortoise. :D

I wish that there would be no more cruelty to animals. At all.

Maybe a family someday? Or whatever God decides for me. I leave it all up to Him. (:

Most of all, I just want to be happy.

Day 4.

Dear sibling.

As I type this I can hear you singing to yourself while you strum your guitar. Totally off-key. No doubt, you're doing it on purpose to annoy me. *rolls eyes.

When I saw you in KL the other day I was shocked. I don't know what I was expecting, but certainly not this. You're HUGE. As in tall and built. I mean I know you're not a skinny 5 year old anymore, but to my head that's how you'll always be depicted. When you're all old and married one day perhaps I'll still look at you as the skinny kid you used to be.

My little brother.

You're OLD now! And I know for a fact that you've got a girlfriend. (a fact that baffles me ;P) but anyways. We don't have a touchy- feely relationship (ours is more like, you touch me and I punch your FACE!) but well, erm, I'llalwaysbethereforyouifyouneedme. OK? :)

hehe.

I ♥ you ton ton. :D

day 3.

dear parents.

Let me start by saying a humongous thank you.

My whole life, I have been sheltered and protected. I used to feel that you guys were being overprotective but after I started college and had to live on my own and face problems by myself did I realise how much I had taken you guys for granted.

Freedom meant everything to me when I was in high school. Freedom to drink into oblivion, to stay out all night and to do anything I wanted, just like my friends. And while it used to be a pain in the ass, now I am so grateful that you did not allow me to do so. Thank you for setting boundaries and in the process helping me to be where I am today.

Dad, thank you for being around. I know you work hard to provide for us. But thank you for still being a family man in the process. Taking time to sit around and play with the dogs with me. It means a lot because I know not everyone has the privilege of having a father around.

Mom. Thank you teaching me to be strong. The year when you got sick was the worst year in my life so far. Watching you become thin and pale, puking after your chemo sessions was more than I could take at times. It was that year we began going back to church, remember? God plans everything to happen for a reason. And thank you, mom, for staying strong and surviving. You know we could not have been able to cope without a mother in our lives. I love you. ♥

I'm sorry for the times I was a monster. I really was. I remember. And I won't elaborate because some things are best left forgotten, yes? :)

i love you both!

love, karen

day 2.

so, this refers to the thirty day challenge. (i've already done day 1, the best friend one.)

Dear crush.

I think I have not met you yet. I wonder when I will. I wonder if I have already met you, except my scarred little heart can't comprehend it and doesn't know it yet. Dramatic, I know. You're gonna have to get used to that, you know. I am a drama queen.

Anyways, back to what I was saying. Oh yeah. Assuming I have already met you, I'd just like to say that I may be difficult at times, and I find it hard to trust guys. I have this feeling that all guys are retards out to make me fall in love, and then trample on my heart. (The last one broke it pretty bad, blame him, its all his fault bwahahaha). If you're really the one for me, you will be patient and bear with me.

I hope you accept my flaws and inspire me to improve, not change me into a clone of the girl you wish you have.

I hope you will love animals just like me. (:

I hope you understand my love for shoes. (:

Most of all I hope, in my heart, you won't give up halfway like all those before you.

:)

xoxo karen

Day 1.

Dear best friend.

Lemme just say, it amazes me to realise that I haven't seen you in over a year. Cliched as it sounds, I think time really does fly by.

We've known each other for years now, and I think my favourite thing about you is the fact that you NEVER judge me. I may make decisions you don't particularly like, but at the end of the day, you give me space to decide things on my own.

Best of all, you NEVER say you're fine with a decision i make and then secretly resent it or hope i change my mind. I love that you're honest and sincere. :) I think it's the basis of every friendship, and probably the reason why ours lasted so long.

You probably already know this, but this year at the birthday party my college friends planned for me, i wasn't SO touched by the party that i cried, but the thing that DID reduce me to tears was watching a skype video of you wishing me happy birthday. :) *awwww. ;p

I'm sorry i've been so crappy at keeping in touch. :P but thank you, thank you
for being the one friend i can always count on. The constant in my life. I know I can go to you no matter what's going with me, and you'll understand.

I'll see you in december, darling, I can hardly wait. ;)

xoxo ♥
