The greatest love story the world has ever known

The story of how Jesus Christ, God and creator of the universe suffered and died for sinners.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, so that whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life.

John 3:16

Could there be any greater love than this?

Every time we sin, we add to the burden and weight of the Cross He carried up to Calvary. Every time we lose ourselves and turn away from Him, we inflict more pain on Him. Every time we give in to temptation, we nail Him to the cross once again.

And when He gave up His spirit, He opened up the gates of heaven so that we may one day join Him in His kingdom. His precious blood washed away our sins.

BUT, the story has a happy ending. Because on this day, 2000 years ago, He rose from the dead just as He said He would. The joy we feel at this time, I think, is actually greater than the joy of Christmas.

Happy Easter everyone. :) ♥

Results in two days!

Its a miracle I'm still functioning, seriously. THIS IS A NIGHTMARE I AM SO SCARED OH MY GOSH.

Jesus I know You're there, I know no matter what You will always be there for me.

The world wants my best, but God wants my all. (:

And Jesus, I have read a million times, the phrases "KNOCK and the door shall be open, ASK and you shall receive, SEEK and you shall find."

So here I am dear Jesus, the imperfect, selfish, sinful being that I am, humbly imploring You, in Your infinite goodness and mercy, PLEASE OH PLEASE let me get the results I want. LET ME GET 4A's I've been begging for. It may seem so impossible, and to my human mind it seems so HARD but Lord, You who conquered sin and death, NOTHING is too hard for You. No burden is too heavy for You. And because You love me, You want the best for me, and I know You hear my prayers before I fall asleep at night.

Take away my fear. Take away my insecurities, take away the thought "I can't". Silence the whispers in my head telling me I'm not good enough. Pick up the pieces of my broken heart, and give me a new one, to love and serve You and to care for little else. You alone know how much I have been hurting, You alone know how hard I find things to be sometimes. And yet as I come into Your presence, as I pray to You I can feel the pain easing, the burden lightening, and I feel whole again.

Its in 2 days and while I often say "Nothing can be done", well, You are good and You are perfect and miracles happen because of Your perfect love.

4A's Lord, PLEASE.

And yet, not my will, but Yours be done. (:

About yesterday.......

After last night.

I am traumatized. :P And I was filled with this kinda sick feeling inside. Guilt perhaps?

I just feel like some things can be avoided, and next time I'm not going to forget it.

I just think like.. seriously God watches out for us. In every circumstance, whether or not we realise it, He just does. All the time people tell me that God looks after us, that He's always watching what we do and say, things like that. But it only feels real now, after having gone through what I did. When I think back, all the things that COULD have happened but didn't, I thank God.

I thank Him for looking out for me. I thank Him for hearing my prayers.

Psalm 23 comes to mind. "And though I walk the darkest path, I will not fear the evil one, for you are with me and your rod and staff are the comfort I need to know."

=))))

I went for novena yesterday!

And seriously, I didn't expect it, so I was like kneeling there reciting the prayers ( I used to go so often, I have them imprinted in my brain) wondering hmm, why does it sound so familiar wan leh?.. then I realised it was actually novena.

How embarrassing, I haven't been for one of those in so long, I couldn't even recognize it. And I'm Catholic some more. Bikin malu man. :p

Anyways. I was like sooooo happy that I got to go for it! Even got teary, much to my further embarrassment. I think people were staring wondering why I'm so emotional. :P But picture this, if you have something you love more than anything else, if it had always given you comfort during hard times and lifts your spirits when you feel down or depressed, and then you couldn't do that something for like 10 months, how would you feel?

YES, 10 MONTHS. The last time I went was back in Sabah, in June before I left for KTT.

The churches here in KL mostly don't have it bah. Idk why. Its only 30 minutes but I feel its soooo very important. Its something so personal in my opinion, its beautiful and I love it. Its just as nice as mass. ;P I truly believe like anything I want, I offer it up during novena and I will undoubtedly get it. It had always always been that way, and now isn't any different. (:

ARGH I really wanna go again! :(

Some more AS coming up. I need all the help I can get. :P

Blessed Good Friday! Its kinda magical you know but every single year for as long as I can remember, it rains on Good Friday. Its like the Earth is being cleansed and made pure and sinless again. Which I suppose in a way, it is. (:

He died for us, lets live for Him. :3

PSTTTT.

AS. Is. So. Close. SOBS!

You know what SUCKS, by the way? Last paper, Chem P1 is on the 10th. And I balik Sabah, 12th. Rugi laaaaaa. :P

Haha I've been doing maths bio maths bio mathssssssss these past couple of days.

I hate admitting it and sounding like a nerd but truth is I totally love maths, its the one subject that requires me to think the least. ;p

I like doing maths questions that make my head pound, because I'm such a hopeless nerd. ;p

So tired la these few days. I couldn't sleep last night cause I kept trying to decide on something. And cause I felt a bit guilty. *sticks out tongue* Until I ended up on my balcony with my roommate and we looked at stars together. Majorly gay, but the stars last night were the most beautiful I've ever seen, in KL. Like they covered the whole sky! It was so beautiful. (:

Sometimes I feel a bit scared of what is to come.. I feel so nervous and terrified that everything will fall apart, but thats when faith steps in and I believe God is so much more amazing and powerful than I could ever imagine, and He will bring me through everything I'm afraid of dealing with. And as I was just saying to my roomie last night, I think God's plans for us are greater and even more amazing than we could ever dare to imagine.

That hand that put those stars in the sky, who knows exactly how many they are shining every night, will hold me and guide me through when I feel tired or lost.

Yet another prayer-post. :3

Dear Jesus,

I thank You for allowing me to safely go to church this weekend. I know my mum was worried because of all the craziness here but I thank You that I got the chance to go and worship.

The peace I feel when I'm in church, really astounds me. Every single worry and fear melts away as I am in Your presence, in Your church.

Despite the craziness and pure insanity of what is happening, I pray Lord that You will continue to shower Your peace and graces upon all Your children here on Earth.

I have faith that all this will pass, and while many fear for their safety and don't really want to go to church at the moment, I believe at this time, Lord is when we need to gather together in faith in Your name and pray for safety and deliverance.

I pray for the safety of my family in Sabah, they are so far away and while they worry about me I can't help but worry about them just as much, if not more.

Lord let Your glory shine upon us and get us through this time.

Amen.

Love karen

Dear Jesus,

I haven't been praying as much as I should have. But I just wanna thank You for always being there, always looking after me, showering me with Your abundant blessings and graces.

I feel SO lucky that I know You, that I'm a believer.

I pray that You will continue to show Your presence in my life and guide me to the right path.

I LOVE YOU, thank You for EVERYTHING.

Amen. (:

CF KTT

Okay, so I haven't been attending CF since forever.

And there are people who actually ask me why.

I've wanted to post about this for such a long time, I just never got around to doing it, but I will now.

So yeah.. I am Catholic. I have been since I was a baby.. And I've always said, I thank God that my parents got me baptised when I was so young, so I didn't have to make a choice myself, which one, Catholic or Protestant?.. Because I believe, as we grow older we're pulled in so many directions by a lot of influences. And anyone reading this, being Catholic, would agree, Protestants can sometimes be aggressive when getting people to join their church. Correct? I OBVIOUSLY don't expect Protestants to agree with me on this point. But I repeat, ANYONE CATHOLIC READING THIS WOULD AGREE.(Or, anyone with Catholic friends.)

My friends have asked me before, to join their churches. And I've always said no. Because I think, we must NEVER EVER forget who we really are. And so, I've always stood firm on this believe, and I'm happy to say I've never been to a Protestant church.

I am happy to be Catholic. I love being Catholic. Which is exactly why I have NOT been attending CF. And most of my Catholic friends haven't, either. Don't get me wrong la, I do have friends who are Protestant. I am NOT against it. I don't think its wrong to be. Its just different from being Catholic.

Protestants, IN MY OPINION, often criticise the way Catholics do things. Example. I've had Protestant friends say our masses are too formal. Too BORING. Just because we don't jump around and shout when we worship. But looking at it from a different perspective, our NOT jumping around, etc etc, just shows that we respect the House of God. We don't shout because we want a quiet atmosphere to praise and worship Him in our hearts. There are other ways to show we worship God. Its just different from how they see things.

I used to think, that we all worship the same God. That we are all the same.. But now I think differently because the way they act is just different from us, and not only that, they don't seem to want to understand why we feel the way we do.

Apostles Creed. There's a line, I believe in the Holy Catholic Church.. And because I recite this all the time, it only makes sense that I follow what I'm reciting, right?.. The Apostles Creed states all that I believe in, its something I live by.

Anyways. Its my own personal decision whether or not to go for CF and I think we all have a right to decide for ourselves. There is really no right or wrong here, its just me expressing my opinion. This is something I feel strongly about. Its not like I think Catholics are BETTER than Protestants, or vice versa. We're all JUST DIFFERENT.

I hope this post doesn't piss anyone off. :P I don't mean to offend anyone. This is a super extremely sensitive issue to talk about, I know.

D:

Okay, so things have been freaky for the past 2 months.

The whole pressing thing?..

I seem to get it more.. and its freaking me out.. All my close-ish friends know about it.. and the other thing.. so I won't bother putting it here, cos actually I don't really wanna think about it.

My dad told me the more I think about it the worse it gets.

I agree.

So I've taken to praying and praying and praying that it'll all stop... And seriously last night after praying my rosary and reading the Bible (Ephesians Chapter 6 had EXACTLY what I was looking for), I had the most peaceful sleep I've ever had since coming to KTT.

I mean it. The power of prayer. :)

I've even began to pray the 3pm prayer everyday even when I'm in class. (using my baby rosary :D)

I refuse to be afraid. I refuse to let this scare me. (Although it does, kinda). I believe God is trying to teach me something by letting me experience all these.. I trust in Him and I'm going to keep praying. Maybe this is His way of leading me closer to Him.

Pray that tonight will be another peaceful night's sleep. :)

xoxo karen
