I'm so sorry!

I wanted to post you a happy birthday wish yesterday! But I was so caught up in the event last night, I simply had no time. I'm sorry!

So anyways. Here goes. (better late than never right)

This is the 2nd year I'm not celebrating your birthday with you. And really only God knows how much I wish I could. But anyways I'm happy you finally received my present! (just as I was starting to curse Poslaju :P)

Most of all I thank you for constantly being there. I can safely say you are my inspiration, you are my idol and in my eyes really you are my hero. :D I remember all the smallest most insignificant memories. Like how you taught me to ride a bike. All the island trips, the long long rides up to Kundasang and Kudat. And of course, you even taught me to drive a car :)

When I was younger I constantly fought with you. I remember clearly how I would rebel for no other reason than to just piss you off. I was the worst kid, seriously, I know I was, but still you were always there. You, with the lame jokes only a dad could tell. With the fierce protectiveness of his only daughter. I used to think it was so embarrassing to not be able to go out like all my other friends were able to. Its only now I finally realise its not me you don't trust, but the people out there with bad intentions you just can't protect me from.

I remember all the lessons you taught me, mostly by example. Like how I should never forget where I come from, and how I should treat everyone equally regardless of their race or religion or status in society. I remember how you would give money to that homeless man near IS. It touched me that you could be so caring to a complete stranger.

And I remember how I called home crying last year because I was so disappointed at my physics results. And you were so calm, you didn't yell nor tell me I was stupid (although I obviously was) you just told me that you believed in me, that I could do it. I cannot even say how much that meant to me at the time.

For the smallest things. Buying me food after school when I was in IS. I miss those long drives home stuck in traffic. I miss changing the radio station in the car and cranking up the volume to annoy you. And of course, it touches me that you are the only person in the world who calls me beautiful and gorgeous and probably means it. :)

I could go on and on and on because the memories in my head are so crowded! You are a big part of my life and you always will be.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm a daddy's girl.

So here's to you, daddy. Happy birthday! again. I love you, xoxo.

sabah day3

Its been a long day. :P

Watched the Karate Kid last night! OMG jaden smith is so cute ;D And the movie.. wasn't half bad really. (: Bumped into Samson at the cinema. As handsome and huggable as always. :D hehe. Aww I can practically see you smiling as you read this. :P

Anyways. Its day 3 of being home and how I wish so badly that days spent in Sabah are 48 hours each rather than 24. Yeah thats how much I adore being home. (: Kinda wish that I can stay longer, and all. Its not like I'm doing anything anyone would call interesting, exactly, but personally for me spending as much time with my family as possible makes me happy. (: Like all I did all evening was cook (that constitutes alot of yelling and making fun of my mum, lol) and bumming in front of the TV with my daddy, yelling at footballers on TV. (you know that lame tired old joke about how the footballers on tv can't hear you yelling? Yeah well my dad and I don't seem to care. :P)

And playing with my pets! Even the turtles (they're so neglected, I feel bad. :S)

I've had this one since form 1, isn't he adorable. :D

Anyways. Am meeting Shana for shopping tomorrow. ;)

Although horrible as it sounds, the sad truth is, Sabah shopping malls feel SO BORING after you've been walking around in KL ones for so long. :P *sighs. But still I love my hometown. :D All the people I love are HERE and I really wish I don't have to leave. :(

It was probably around 4am when I finally fell asleep last night. :P

Months on a super hard bed with a super think mattress makes you forget what a comfortable bed feels like. I lay in bed literally unable to get comfortable. It was too quiet. :P

And then I woke up at 8 something this morning. Sent my brother to church of all things. Had breakfast with him first, laughed like hell at his stupid jokes, but honestly I kinda can't believe my brother is now so......... mature. :P Hell no, I don't mean mature as in he's MATURE, I mean he looks mature. :P He doesn't look like the little brother used top fight with and yell at, he looks.. Like a GUY. A Nike-shirt-Quiksilver jeans-Guess watch-Converse-shoes-wearing GUY. Oh goodness. Dare I say this? MY BROTHER ACTUALLY LOOKS HANDSOME. O_o OMG I never thought it'd be possible. To me he'll always be the obnoxious little boy who threw one of my Barbie dolls on the roof. :P

I have to wake up early tomorrow! A day trip to Mekong River.. I think it should be interesting :D I'm kinda loving Vietnam so far.. Although its overcrowded and so dusty, I swear I can feel the pollution seeping into my lungs :P But still.

Yeah. OH GOSH vietnamese food is so freaking delicious and SO EXTREMELY CHEAP! I swear I've died and gone to food heaven. (: (: Am totally gonna gain another few kilos by the time I go back to the jungle, aka KTT :P

My holiday :D

Went up to Kundasang today with my mum and dad. I miss Sabahan nature and everything so I decided to take a trip up there.. its as awesome as ever. Cold and pretty. :)

While we sometimes give Sabah a hard time for being slightly backward, and kampung, and blah, blah, blah,.. we've gotta admit the nature aspect of Sabah is pretty awesome. :)

I took lots and lots of photos and cam-whored like CRAZY! :D

haha. I think cos in KTT I couldn't really cam-whore very much. :P

I really love it up there. I mean I seem like such a shopaholic and such a city girl, but truth be told, I do love nature. ONCE IN A WHILE. :P haha. And hopefully if Felicia my roommate ever decides to come to Sabah, she'll like it there. In Kundasang, I mean. :P Here are some pictures.

Proof that shopping is universal. :D Even in kampung also can shop, lol. I managed to buy a pario buckle for a FREAKING RM6!!! (In KL, in civilization, in shopping malls, its RM35, by the way. :D) WHAT A STEAL. ;D
